I have a short story below of the evolution of Willis Shoe and Boot from the beginning to where we are today. We look forward to future expansions to better serve our customers.

Paul and Clara Willis started Willis Shoe and Boot in 1954. In August of 1979 my wife Stacia and I purchased the business. The Willis's had built a very successful shoe and boot repair business. This craftsmanship is in existence today. We have one full time repair person and a part time person. But today shoes and boots are not all created equal. Many are simply not rebuildable or repairable.

To continue to enlarge our business we began selling western boots and work boots. In 1996 we started our Safety Shoe Division with a 14ft. trailer to service area factories. This has been our main emphasis. We purchased the building next door and remodeled it to expand our show room. In 1999 we added a 28ft. fifth wheel trailer to our Safety Shoe Division. This also allowed us to hire another salesperson, Joe Hutchinson, to run our 14ft. trailer and gave us the opportunity to continue to grow. Our second 28ft. fifth wheel trailer was added in 2002. We are traveling to factories in all of Nebraska and to some adjacent states. 1996 saw the coming of the Willis Shoe and Boot mobile safety shoe store. Logging thousands of miles annually, the mobile store visits mid-western factories and industrial parks bringing a full line of safety footwear to you. We offer special factory pricing to authorized factories. We carry railroad approved boots for Burlington Northern Santa Fe and Union Pacific Railroad and are payroll approved. The mobile service is accompanied by a trained staff member to answer questions and to see you are properly fitted in a boot for your work environment.
